Easirent Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2018 and 31-Dec-2019
Driver's Age. Min-Max Age of Drivers: 23 - 75 Years Old. All drivers must hold their driving licence for at least 1 year. Drivers aged 23 and 24 years old must have held their full driving license for a minimum of two years and are subject to a Young Drivers surcharge of 30 GBP / 40 EUR per day. Additionally, Young Drivers must book and rent vehicles that fall under our mini, economy and compact groups (Groups A, B and C) only.
Age-related charges and restrictions will apply to all additional drivers.
International hirers must present a valid license from their country of residence and their passport. If the license is not written in English then an International driver permit is also required. We cannot accept North Korean driving license for insurance purposes, South Korean is acceptable.
UK hirers must also bring 2 proof of address and the DVLA check code (click here for more information on DVLA check codes).
Points - endorsements. Minor offences such us speeding and traffic signals are acceptable up to a maximum of 6 points. If you have any bans or convictions in the last 5 years please call us before making a reservation.
Insurance & Covers (Included in our prices)
Third Party Liability Protection (TP): Third-Party liability covers the driver's liability for damage to any property, excluding the rental car itself.
Fire and Theft Waiver (FTW): Theft Waiver limits the driver's liability for costs incurred by fire or theft of the rental car - or damage incurred by the theft or attempted theft - up to £1250 (except luxury cars), subject to the terms of the rental agreement.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Collision Damage Waiver limits the driver's liability (excess) up to £1250 (excluding luxury cars) in the event that the rental car is damaged, subject to the rental agreement. This protection applies to all authorised drivers of the rental car only.
The above packages are all optional and included in the retail rate due to advertising regulations. These covers can be removed at any time on request. For more information on this, please call reservations on 08000 75 80 75.
You can Reduce your liability (excess) to £500 or £100 at the Rental Desk or you can Reduce your excess to ZERO online or at the rental desk. You are then covered for all damage with the exceptions laid out in our excess policy which can be found here
Security Deposit: A Security Deposit equal to your liability (excess) is required to be taken from the main drivers Credit Card. Security Deposit is NOT held when Zero Excess is chosen.
UK Local Hirers (residential address within 35 miles of an Easirent Branch) who wish to reduce their excess to Zero, must agree and pass a credit check. Otherwise they must hold a credit card with at least £500 credit available.
Included in all our rates
Unlimited Mileage: When you book a car online through Easirent.com you'll get Unlimited Mileage on all rentals of 1-29 days. For hires over 30 days, the total weekly mileage is 500 per week. The charge for excess mileage is from 15 pence to 50 pence per mile, depending on the car group.
Van Hire Reservations have mileage charges in place should you exceed the daily van limit, please call us for more information.
VAT Local Tax: VAT tax to hire a car in the United Kingdom is 20%. Included in our online prices.
Road Fund Tax / VLF: Vehicle Licencing and road tax is included in our online prices
24/7 Nationwide Breakdown Assistance: All Easirent Branches have national assistance should the renter require it in the unlikely event of a breakdown. You will be given the number and contact details at the time of rental.
One Way Rentals: If the drop off location is other than the pick up and additional fee is calculated in our rates. This surcharge is included in our rates and will show at the information banner at the top of the screen when a one way rental is requested.
Not Included in our rates (Optional Extras)
• Satellite Navigation System(GPS): £6 per day bought online/ £11 per day at the rental desk (max charge 10 Days)
• Baby Seat (0-4yrs old): £5 per day bought online/ £10 per day at the rental desk (max charge 10 Days)
• Child Booster Seat (4+yrs old): £5 per day bought online/ £8 per day at the rental desk (max charge 10 Days)
• Additional Driver: £5 per day bought online/ £8 per day at the rental desk.
Free Extra Driver: From time to time, we advertise a "Free Extra Driver" as part of a promotion. If you qualify for a free extra driver, this will be confirmed via email as well as being stored in your booking record for our staff members to see on the day of your collection. If you arrive at branch and there is no record of the FED Discount they must contact the Social Media Team.
1. All cars are taken with a full tank of fuel.
2. The full tank of fuel can be purchased at the start of the rental at national pump prices. No mark-up on up front fuel is levied.*
3. If the rental is taken on a "full-to-full" basis, the car must be returned with a full tank of fuel from a garage no more than 5 miles away from the car rental branch. Proof of this (receipt / credit card receipt) is required when the car is returned.
4. If the car is returned less than a full tank, the refuelling charge is 3.00 GBP/ EUR per litre, plus a refuelling admin fee of 9.50 GBP/ EUR. All prices are plus tax.
5. If the car is returned without proof of a local fill-up, the car will be taken to the local garage and re-filled up. All fuel added will be charged at 3 GBP/ EUR per litre, plus a refuelling admin fee of 9.50 GBP/ EUR. All prices are plus tax.
*No refund for any unused fuel at the end of the rental.
Restrictions: Restrictions are in place for hirers looking to use Easirent more than 10 times in a 12 month period. If you require more reservations than this, please get in touch with our customer service team on 0203 657 6045
Traffic and parking Fines: If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period, you will be responsible for full payment of the fine as well as a £55 traffic fine management fee per fine. This includes, but is not restricted to, parking offences, speeding fines, congestion charges, bus lane offences, traffic signal offences, toll road offences, etc...
Out of Hours Charge: If the Pick Up or Drop Off time is outside the Rental Branches' operating hours there will be a £40/hour fee.
DVLA Call for UK License Holders check: Failure to bring the code will result in a call to the premium rate DVLA number incurring an additional charge of £10.
Overseas Travel: Hirers can take their hire vehicle overseas. Easirent must see proof of cover in the unlikely event that your Easirent hire vehicle breaks down overseas. Easirent do provide roadside assistance, but this extends to UK main land only. Taking an Easirent vehicle overseas also incurs an additional Green Card Cover charge.
Valeting Fee: If the vehicle requires more than the usual standard cleaning on its return to restore it to its pre-rental condition, allowing for fair wear and tear, a valeting fee of max £80 will apply.
Terms of booking on this website
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
